swim with sharks

Oahu, to do · October 14, 2015

Yes, to swim with sharks (without a cage!) is one of the most serene and exciting things you can do on Oahu together.

I know, some people don’t like water in general. And others are scared out of their mind of sharks. But what’s more exciting then working through some of those fears together? 😉

Juan and Ocean from One Ocean Diving will take you on a learning adventure you will never forget. Ocean is a Marine Biologist and known worldwide for her education and conservation programs. You can watch her TEDx talk “How sharks affect us all” to get an idea of the depth of knowledge that she brings to the table.

// Educational

The experience will teach you more about sharks, their beauty, and the important role they play in the oceans than you ever even thought possible. It’s basically impossible to come away not loving them more than you do today.

// Safety

Anytime you get in any ocean you are entering into a habitat that’s not our native one and there is a level of danger, yes. But Juan and Ocean have your back when you’re out there and keep you very safe. With years of multiple daily dives, they know how to make sure you are safe. Seriously, just do it. Push past any fear you might have and take the plunge together!

Don’t believe it, here’s a short GoPro video I took last time I was out:
