Ok, it’s not really much of a secret, but most people don’t seem know about it or just don’t visit it. It’s real name is Paako Cove and it’s a very intimate beach because it’s so small and beautiful.
It is a great place for sunset and also to have a mostly quiet beach during the day, away from the crowds. You’ll probably see a wedding or two here as well.
Instead of coming here, most people stop at Makena Beach State Park, which is lovely in it’s own right.
I won’t give you exact directions (part of the fun is the adventure of finding it – it’s a secret after all!) but I’ll say that if you keep going past Makena Beach State Park you’ll find a wall with a beach access cut out. You won’t need to go on private property and you’ll be able to park right on the street.
No lifeguards here, so you’re on your own. And if the waves aren’t bad, there’s some decent snorkeling here (especially in the morning, I’ve heard).
