Hawai’i is a romantic destination for many. This list is only a small sampling and can be found in one way or another on every island. The name of the game here is to slow down and never be in a rush.
1: Sunrise and sunset walks on the beach
It may sound sappy or cheesy, but there’s really nothing like greeting the day or sending it off together with your toes in the sand. Slow down. Don’t rush. Be present and hold each other. Listen to the waves. Dream together about what the future holds and be grateful what’s behind you. There’s so much more to these “walks on a beach” moments than at first blush.
2: Oceanside dining
You can find many oceanside dining options on each island and each will provide an evening of fine food and a great view. Most are buildings just along the beach but some places actually will set up a private table on the beach for you. Don’t forget dessert! Spend the time to talk about what you’ve enjoyed on your trip so far and share exciting ideas of tomorrow’s adventures.
3: Stargazing:
You will see more stars in Hawai’i than you’ve probably ever seen before. And, especially in the summer months, the Milky Way will shine bright above you. You’ll need to get away from any city lights (especially Honolulu – head to the North Shore!). Bring a blanket and lay out under the stars holding each other and making wishing upon falling stars.
4: dinner and sunset cruises
Seeing the islands from the water with your arms wrapped around your beloved is a great way to spend an evening. If you’re not great with motion sickness, either take some Dramamine before you head out or skip this one. Let’s just say that one of us (cough… Jessica…) got to enjoy her dinner twice when we went out once. Not so romantic, that trip.
5: Do a Beloved photo session
The photo sessions we’ve designed aren’t just about taking photos. We offer photo sessions which are designed to help create deep and real moments of connection, laughter, and shared feelings between the two of you. They are about remembering the reasons why this person is indeed your beloved. Find out more information over on the photos page here.
